You Can Make A Difference!

Every thirty seconds, a lowbie in the Barrens runs out of mana. Can you make a difference? Yes. You can.

Throm'kar! My name is Skordi, and I'm a well-known troll priest on the Dath'remar server of the World of Warcraft. You may also be familiar with my significant charity works as Ukulkos on the Khaz'goroth realm.

I'm here today to talk about a very real problem. It's a problem that's very real, and getting realer with every minute. It's the very real problem of lowbie poverty, in the Barrens.

There are over 1,000 members of the Horde below level 20 on the Dath'Remar server alone. These lowbies are questing with subpar weapons, subpar armour, and inadequate support equipment. The majority have no shoulder armour, rings or trinkets. Many are not even wearing shirts.

In fact, most of these lowbies can't even afford to eat. It's common for these lowbies to go for entire days without receiving the "Well Fed" buff. A great number don't even carry water, and are forced to wait for their mana and health to regenerate "naturally".

It's a cycle of poverty that doesn't end. When these poor lowbies level up, they often can't afford to buy all the new skills available to them. Without those skills, it's very hard for them to grind efficiently for XP and loot.

And the greatest tragedy of all is that this December, they can't afford to celebrate Christmas.

You can make a difference.

By logging on to the Horde side of Dath'remar server, and sending your donation of cooked foods, clothing, and children's toys to "Nab", you can put a smile back on the faces of these lowbies. By giving now, you can provide for a better future.

At the "Nab" mailing address, volunteers are standing by to distribute your donations to starving Barrens lowbies. We have the manpower - all you need to provide is hope.

Please, give generously this holiday season.

I'm proud to be a part of such a great cause. My life has become better after seeing the smile on their little lowbie faces as they get given some roasted Kodo meat or finally get the pair of shoulder armour they need so badly.

Please, give generously.

The Alliance will support this charity in any way possible.
Already we have 1 person in Ironforge telling people to remember the children of Stormwind, Victims of the Plague, and to give generously. Because of this, we are considering to increase it to 2 people telling everyone to remember the children of The Barrens, victims of poverty, and Chuck Norris barrens chat.

As a voulenteer for the "Do They Know it's Christmas in the Barrens" appeal I have helped many lowbies in their strive for survival, aiding them in finding Crossroads after they have just left Thunderbluff, and taking the aggro if they stray from the path.

However, there are only so many voulenteers and too many lowbies for us to take care of all the time. As such, we seek your help. A small donation, such as a Tel'Abim Bananna, or even just a Common White Shirt would be enough to brighten up a lowbie's day.

Remember: don't throw it out, hand it out.

Please, give generously.

Over the next six weeks we hope to distribute dozens of care packages to Barrens lowbies. Shirts, food, and basic crafting supplies will be given out to starving members of the Horde at Camp Taurajo and the Crossroads. Look out for us!
