Sponsor A Lowbie Today!

My name is Bigbadmoo.
I am a level 13 Tauren and I'm questing in The Barrens.
My favourite activity is pwning Alliance nubs.

Change the life of a lowbie

The best way to change a lowbie's life is to change the world in which they live.

By sponsoring a lowbie, you will help to bring about long-term benefits to the player, their guild and community for just 1 gold piece per month. Your support will help to fund vital development work in Barrens Chat, such as reporting idiots, flaming people who make Chuck Norris jokes, and correcting the spelling and grammar of the barely literate.

This work ensures that the Realm community will be able to provide lowbies with the basics they need, which helps them to level up in a healthy environment and have the chance for a better future.

In addition to helping your sponsored lowbie and community directly, a small proportion (up to 3%) of your sponsorship payment will be used to address the underlying reasons for lowbie poverty. This may include communications with Blizzard, engaging with other Realms on foreign aid, trade and other development issues as well as activities aimed at protecting lowbies on established servers from exploitation.

Testimonials

Noth - Dath'Remar Realm
Skordi showed me the way out of poverty! I used to be a low level in the Barrens, taking my own life just to get mana. Now i'm a successful endgame warlock. Give generously, if not for me, for people that could become like me!

Madwolf - Garona Realm
*wipes away a tear* It's posts like this that cause me to regain faith in humanity. Err, I mean Orcanity. Ummm, trollanity? Inanity?

Calicelia - Thrall Realm
Horde or not, everyone could use a helping hand.

Carbons - Frostwolf Realm
Those starving noobs are people too...

Django - Whisperwind Realm
Last Christmas I spent hundreds of gold on making and buying presents for people. And we stood next to the tree in Orgrimmar handing out gifts night after night. It was good times. :)

Remember - you CAN make a difference!

You Can Make A Difference!

Every thirty seconds, a lowbie in the Barrens runs out of mana. Can you make a difference? Yes. You can.

Throm'kar! My name is Skordi, and I'm a well-known troll priest on the Dath'remar server of the World of Warcraft. You may also be familiar with my significant charity works as Ukulkos on the Khaz'goroth realm.

I'm here today to talk about a very real problem. It's a problem that's very real, and getting realer with every minute. It's the very real problem of lowbie poverty, in the Barrens.

There are over 1,000 members of the Horde below level 20 on the Dath'Remar server alone. These lowbies are questing with subpar weapons, subpar armour, and inadequate support equipment. The majority have no shoulder armour, rings or trinkets. Many are not even wearing shirts.

In fact, most of these lowbies can't even afford to eat. It's common for these lowbies to go for entire days without receiving the "Well Fed" buff. A great number don't even carry water, and are forced to wait for their mana and health to regenerate "naturally".

It's a cycle of poverty that doesn't end. When these poor lowbies level up, they often can't afford to buy all the new skills available to them. Without those skills, it's very hard for them to grind efficiently for XP and loot.

And the greatest tragedy of all is that this December, they can't afford to celebrate Christmas.

You can make a difference.

By logging on to the Horde side of Dath'remar server, and sending your donation of cooked foods, clothing, and children's toys to "Nab", you can put a smile back on the faces of these lowbies. By giving now, you can provide for a better future.

At the "Nab" mailing address, volunteers are standing by to distribute your donations to starving Barrens lowbies. We have the manpower - all you need to provide is hope.

Please, give generously this holiday season.
